Fall House Closings

Take place on or about Sept.15th.
Your home and belongings are better protected by moving the following items inside:

  • Window screens & door screens
  • Deck furniture & BBQ
  • Outdoor speakers
  • Garden hoses
  • Disassemble outdoor screen porch
  • Any miscellaneous or small items

Spring House Openings

is on or about April 15th
Move the following items from inside your home to your deck outside:

  • Window screens & door screens
  • BBQ
  • Outdoor speakers
  • Garden hoses
  • Garbage cans
  • Deck furniture
  • Assemble outdoor screen porch
  • Change batteries in smoke detectors
  • Coordinate HVAC maintenance

Utilities

  • We're on call to meet service people (cable, phone, satellite…)

Freight

  • Places you on my freight account which allows your package to be accepted at the ferry terminal.
  • On call to deliver freight package(s) to your home.
  • For your convenience, the freight cost will be assigned to my account. However, the freight and delivery cost is not included in the package

Winter Watch

Inspections will take place throughout the winter months. A report with photos will be emailed to you following each inspection.

Interior

  • Check electric and confirm it is off.
  • Check that all windows and doors are locked.
  • Confirm the house is drained and refrigerator door is open.
  • Check for signs of leakage.

Exterior

  • Assess general condition, including threats such as vegetation leaning on your house.
  • Inspect and monitor areas for wood rot, including windows, doors, and decks.
  • Inspect roof for missing shingles.
  • Check that fence is secure.
  • Check that gates are securely latched.
